Wednesday, October 15, 2008.  The Buckthorns performed two a cappella sets at the Lansdowne Estate.  Designed by Benjamin Marshall and built in 1911 for the head of Rand McNally, the Lansdowne Estate is a 14,500 square foot European-inspired home situated on 3.5 acres on the shore of Lake Michigan.  The event was the October After Hours Party of the Chamber of Commerce of Lake Forest and Lake Bluff, hosted by Baird and Warner.
