Centerstage
in Lake Forest (CenterStage has been producing high quality
community theatre for the Lake Forest/Lake Bluff community since 1972.
Most current members of The Buckthorns have participated in their musical
theatre presentations. Six Buckthorns (plus three of their spouses)
are current or former members of the board of directors of CenterStage, including three
who are former Board Presidents.)
Goat Motor (Dan
McMurray, the talented son of Buckthorn Susie McMurray, is the drummer for
this popular Chicago touring jam band.)

(Fred is an award-winning music educator and performing
artist, a talented arranger and songwriter, and musical review columnist for

Emi Jarvi (A
wonderfully talented vocalist, musician and songwriter from Lake Bluff.
Emi is married and living in England, where she records and performs with her
husband J Carmichael.)

Carson's Window (Caryn
Carson, the niece of former Buckthorn Michael Shea, is the founder, keyboard artist,
lead singer and songwriter of this up-and coming group.)
