In January 2021, The Buckthorns were invited to produce a video, highlighting the group's history, for presentation at an online trivia event sponsored by The History Center of Lake Forest - Lake Bluff. Here's the video.
In October 2016, at a dinner hosted by one of The Buckthorns, instead of saying a prayer of Grace before the meal, we decided to sing a song that is very special to us. Here's the result.
In December, 2013, The Buckthorns finished their Holiday performance at the Community Church of Lake Forest and Lake Bluff with their rendition of "We Wish You a Merry Christmas."
"Find a Job" is a parody of the hit 1950s song, "Get a Job" by The Silhouettes. It was created as a Public Service Announcement for the Career Resource Center in Lake Forest, Illinois, whose mission is to provide regional career counseling services. Written by Joanna Rolek.
